Our goal
We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, magnification or voice control. We aim for the site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
How the site is built
The design and code are built to support:
- Every link, button and form field works with a keyboard and shows a visible focus ring
- Text and controls meet WCAG contrast ratios, at least 4.5:1 for body text
- Pages use real headings and landmarks, so a screen reader can move through them
- Every form field has a visible label, and errors are described in words, not color alone
- Text can be enlarged to 200 percent without losing content
- Motion is minimal and switches off when your device asks for reduced motion
- Meaningful images have text alternatives
Current status
We aim for WCAG 2.2 Level AA, but we do not claim that every page fully conforms. We keep testing the site and fixing problems as we find them.
Known limitations
Some pages link to content we do not control, such as directory profiles, court decisions and the online booking page. Those sites manage their own accessibility.
If you find a problem on this site, please let us know so we can fix it.
